Heat the Oil and Roast Cumin

Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat and allow it to warm properly. Add the cumin seeds and let them roast for a couple of minutes until fragrant. This step builds the flavor base of the dish and releases the cumin’s natural aroma.

    Add the Spices

Once the cumin seeds are lightly roasted, add the garlic powder and turmeric powder to the pan. Stir gently so the spices do not burn. Add the garam masala and dried fenugreek leaves, mixing everything together for an even spice coating.

    Cook the Okra

Add the frozen okra directly into the pan and stir well so it’s coated in the spices. Cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the okra is tender and fully cooked. Add salt and optional chili at this stage if you prefer extra heat.

    Finish and Serve

Once the okra is cooked through and lightly crisp at the edges, turn off the heat. Give it a final stir and transfer to a serving dish. The dish should be aromatic, simple, and full of flavor.
